The objectives of this conference will be: - To showcase and raise awareness about benefits, added value and impact of EU-supported research in the area of brain research and healthcare. - To outline and discuss the emerging and future scientific challenges in this field (understanding how the brain works, prevention, diagnostic and therapies of brain diseases, industry-driven research, international collaborations).

The workshop is addressed to scientists and project managers in SMEs, research institutes, universities, and hospitals in the fields of health, life sciences, genomics and biotechnology.

The workshop will be dedicated to evaluating strategies on how to exploit R&D results generated during or at the end of FP7 projects. It will provide practical, easy-to-use information on IPR aspects as well as on further financial resources from venture capitalists.

EuroNanoForum 2013 will take place 18-20 June 2013 at the Convention Centre Dublin in Ireland focusing on the commercialization of nanotechnologies, exploiting its potential for new applications and taking them further from enabling technologies to end products. It will also introduce the industry to new innovations for growth opportunities.

During the congress, we will debate on the impact that advanced materials are having upon our industry, such as Biomaterials, Smart Materials, New Catalytic Material, Nano-materials and Non-Crystal Materials

Air quality continues to be a key issue for achieving sustainable development and to reduce health impacts. This is already the third time that Dr. Jan Skowronek, Director of the Institute for Ecology of Industrial Areas in Katowice takes the honorary patronage of the Trade Fair for Water and Sanitation Utilities – HydroSilesia 2011, which will be held on 13 - 14 October 2011. This important event, which is devoted to current issues of water management, will be organized in a modern trade fair and exhibition center ExpoSilesia in Sosnowiec. It is currently planned to launch the call for proposals in July 2008 with a deadline for submission in January 2009. This period between publication and submission of proposals is longer than in the previous calls and shall provide opportunities to applicants to prepare and consolidate their projects. The budget available is of about a 200 million, distributed among 52 different topics for research. During that meeting works over the Network Strategic Research Agenda has been initiated in 4 technologically focused thematic groups: waste management, water management, air pollution and GCC and soil protection. 42 participants representing 29 organistions - the ENVITECH-Net Members - took part in the event.
